My story

Hi! Welcome to my little corner of the internet!

I’ve always been in love with music and storytelling. I started singing in choirs when I was 3 years old and started playing the violin at 4. My school, all through childhood, was a place that specializes in music and choral singing. I especially loved it every time I sang a solo. I didn’t think any more of it, since I wanted to be either a violinist or a superhero. But all that changed at 16, when my grandparents took me to see an opera for the first time at the opening of the Royal Opera House in Copenhagen. It was a beautiful production of Tosca by Puccini. I sat with bated breath through the whole thing and I sobbed an embarrassing amount, while the orchestra played their last notes and the heroine jumped to her death. I had a revelation! I thought; “Here it is, the thing I want to do with my life!”. The next day I found a teacher that could help me get there. It’s the most wonderful thing to be an artist, and even though it’s been tough sometimes, I can’t imagine myself doing anything else.

During my music studies I’ve discovered that my - dare I say it - superpowers are my ability to memorize very quickly, paired with my deep desire to breathe life into a character. The more skillful I become with my instrument, the more free the interpretation can become, and the more my intuition can be set free in the moment. I’ve often pushed myself in my repertoire choices to strengthen both my memory and imagination.

When I’m not singing opera, I enjoy a good Sci-fi or Fantasy novel. I love yoga, vintage fashion, planning events, and occasionally I’ve painted an oilpainting or two. Honestly, any new skill that my imagination can play with, I’ll try at least once.

In the years to come I hope to continue to grow and practice my art in a joyful way and to be able to fully express myself in as many characters as possible. I thrive on new experiences and I love meeting new people and visiting new places. I’m looking forward to a life of storytelling, challenges to overcome and new things to learn at every turn.
